Packaging Done Properly
At Hogan’s, we’ve always believed in doing things properly, from sourcing fruit locally to supporting traditional orchards. Now we’re taking another important step by improving the sustainability of our packaging.

We’re moving away from the heavier Vichy-style bottle we currently use and introducing a lighter brown bottle across more of our range. It may seem like a small change, but lighter bottles have a significantly lower environmental impact.
They use less raw material to produce, require less energy during manufacturing and reduce emissions during transport because there is less weight being moved from bottling line to shelf. Over thousands of bottles, that makes a real difference.

We have taken the same care with our cans. Aluminium cans are widely recycled and lighter to transport than glass, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of every case. But we know that what is inside the can matters too.
Many can liners contain BPA or plastic based coatings, which is why we have been very particular about the cans we use. Our cans are lined with BPA-free coatings, helping us reduce the environmental impact of our packaging while still protecting the quality of the cider inside.

We know there is no single answer when it comes to sustainability, but we believe every decision matters. Whether it is sourcing apples from local growers, supporting traditional orchards, using recyclable packaging or improving our bottles and cans, we are always looking for better ways to reduce our footprint without compromising on quality.
