ABOUT

Hogan’s Cider was founded in 2005 by Allen Hogan, inspired by the beauty of our local orchards and the encouragement of his eco-warrior neighbour and friend, John Stewart. A lot has changed since then, but the important things remain the same: all our cider is fermented from 100% fresh-pressed English cider apples from local orchards, and our values are still at the core of everything we do. Much like winemaking, once a year when the fruit is in season, we press our cider apples and perry pears and then wait patiently for the juice to ferment and mature, leaving us with the nectar of the English countryside.
Sustainability isn’t just about how we run our own business. It’s about our whole network of independent suppliers and customers too. We’ve worked with the same growers year after year for our apples and perry pears, sourced fruit juice from Pixley Berries, packaging from The Bag In Box Shop, and bottled at Edwin Holdens in Walsall, building trusted relationships that make our cider what it is today.
We craft our ciders authentically and with passion so that you can enjoy them all year round (because cider is not just for summer!). With your help we are supporting, promoting and protecting the heritage of a traditional British Craft.
